The ABP Section D Examination is a criterion-referenced examination, one hour in length, consisting of three (3) 20-minute segments that include:
Candidate-generated patient treatment presentation depicting the surgical placement and restoration of a minimum of two (2) implants in one or more partially edentulous or completely edentulous patients.
Oral examination based on unrestricted questioning that may relate to the patient treatment presentation.
Oral examination based on standardized questioning.
The broad scope of implant dentistry will serve as the focus of the oral examination during both unrestricted and standardized questioning.
